Experts and Universal Truths

I've spent and still spend a lot of time and money learning from experts but what I've discovered is the only expert in me is me and all I will ever do is learn new things about myself as I change and grow. I will never be fully formed and finished. I will only ever be a work in progress and knowing that is kind of inspiring. I'm clear that the adult part of my brain REQUIRES me to grow, change and be challenged and knowing I will be ever expanding makes me want to expand even more.

I now realize I don't think there is anyone who has ever lived, is living now or will ever live who will know "the way to live" mainly because I think there are no universal truths - humans don't come in one size fits all. So much of what's right for you is probably not right for me and that's what makes us interesting even though that's also what has us frustrated with each other. We humans have a long way to go in our development but we seem to experience the most benefits of progress following times of tumultuousness and I think it's safe to say we're in one of those times now. It's all part of what the human experience has forever been.
